I was expeecting carbon fiber! In fact I wonder why the big boys dont make boxes out of FRP or carbon fiber and such matierals. at the DIY level this is diffuclt but at a commercial production level I dont see any reason (not even price as FRP can be cheaper than MDF).

Guys I got a chance to hear the audio in Sam's Verna yesterday and I am floored. The best audio i've ever heard w/o a Sub. I liked the Panasonic headunit too.

We sat and heard some good music in the Verna yesterday. Thanks for the appreciation man.

Hi Jeetu,
You've got kicker in the back and ultimate in the front!!
You can add a 2 or 4channel amp and a Subwoofer. Make a ported/sealed box for the sub and keep it in the boot. You can either choose a Pioneer or Sony for the sub. That's the entry level ones.

Is it possible to announce how much You're planning to spend? If you can go a bit higher than entry level stuff, then choose from JBL, Hertz, Alpine, Blaupunkt etc... It'll give a whole different meaning to your ICE with quality equipment.

Between Pioneer and Kicker amplifiers, I think Pioneer make more value for money amplifiers, that are reliable and sound decent.
IMHO, you have a weak link and that is your Ultimate speakers in the front. You should have stuck to the kicker in the front. They are better than Ultimate in any case.

I will test both cables and let you know - BUT the build quality and finish looks excellent. And they are cheap.
Hi Sam could you please give me the dealer info for these cables? And what do your tests say so far?

I was also impressed. Am not really sure if a sub is required in three box cars. I enjoy the Honda with the sub, but when I went to the circuit, I left the sub behind and found that I still enjoyed the music quality especially th high and mid range quality

I bought my MX cable from Lamington Road, Champion Rubber Stores. Ask for the "Digital" variety, that's what they are called.

Hello there,

The dual Sub in the photo, will be out in India by Mid-March. It is the Infinity Reference 1220DE. (Dual enclosure)
There will also be a Single 12" enclosure called the 1220E (enclosure).

I expect the Dual to cost about 25-28K and the single about 16-18K. These are tentative prices.

April07 will see a new and improved Infinity, launched with massive vigour in India. There will also be a new Infinity amplifier, designed and developed by Infinity (unlike some earlier models *cough cough) And that's all I can tell you for now.

Remember you heard it here first.

And for the Verna, well, I guess my sample piece is too big to ship in, so I shall be content to wait till Mid March to hear the elegant beast.
