Hey, the speciality of this dealer is that he makes you feel as if you are spending way less than your budget and if you are nice to him, he just may gift you his bald michelins to complete the package.

HU - Depends on what you want
Amp - Now here is the problem, to drive the woofer & the comps the minimum acceptable amp is the Pio 6200 which is about 7.5k (grey) but preferred is JBL 75.4 which is 13k (B&W) since in a sealed box, and for a big car like the Dicor you need all the power you can get.

So this setup can be accomodated within 30k provided you have an HU costing around 7k, if it's more than you'll have to increase the budget.
I tend to agree with Ishan here....get the 75.4 to complete the setup...other amp in this range even Sam Bhai will agree here...put one 607 in the front and one sub in the boot and enjoy music....about the HU you can go for JVC dvd wala it is a good sounding HU with good tunning features....

75.4 costs 15K right.
You guys want to blow my budget. Watch your backyard LBM, I am coming to steal your swift ICE. I think whatever monstrosities you have you in swift will be adequate for my car.
I will not need to spend 30K then. Just 13K for HU, 2K for installation and 2K for wiring shiring.
AMPS shamps from LBM's swift.

But still it blows away my budget!
30K is all have.
So 9K for HU(without screen)
5K for the sub.
6K for the compos
4K for install and wiring etc.,
Thats 24K already. So I just have around 6K for the amp.
Thats why the Blau unit made sense.
Is the blau amp really bad?

I can skip on the compos, and raid my indica, but then I would be using sub par 6" and 4" speakers and they will be the weak link in the chain.

I am forgoing screen for the SQ.
So guys
If HU is 9K and I want a front soundstage, please suggest something that comes within 30K inclusive of everything.

Ok, I am more confused now.
Well lets see what I want
1. A HU which plays DIVx, a USB port will be a bonus. I am told this will be 9K
So I have 20K for rest of the stuff(Amp, Sub, Compos).

I want great SQ for playing
Iron Maiden(Things like Como esta amigos), GnR, Songs like "Coming back to life", "Dream on", some hair metal. All this means lot of base guitar and long riffs.
A nice example of a song which has all this is Paschendale.

In Indian music its Punjabi music, but not eng music masquerading. I play stuff which has a Dhol, which has a revebrating bass that goes from the mid range(1000Hz) to deep (<100Hz).
Its like when the Dhol is hit, the initial sound is pretty high pitch, something like the small drum, then it revebrates to really low freq. Something like tabla and drum together
A good example is Sohniye or Pave Boliyan by JazzyB, or late 70s/80s punjabi music, the pre Daler era, or similar music.
Apart from that its standard hindi rock stuff like strings and few other new rock songs.

I have 20K to get this sound quality, and I don't want to waste money on rear speakers because I don't sit in the rear, I am always driving or riding shotgun.

Now I am not going to put any preference on what I want to buy, you guys can decide among yourself what should I get to get this desired effect

EDIT:SAM read you post about 75.4. So if HU+75.4=19K Can I get a sub and good compos for 11K?

Sir only 5-6k extra would give you a good setup....and why spend 4k on install and wires.....get some finolex and reduce it by approx 1k .....

I think you must increase it a bit the results will be good...

TSK,

This is what I can recommend.

Damp the front doors(atleast a little). Mount (nicely) a 6" midbass in the front door, by using the stock door speaker position. Nice solid install.
Mount the tweeter inside the original 4" stock location and hide the crossover inside the dash.

Get a sealed Subwoofer box. Like the CS1204B. Bridge the rear channels of the 75.4 for the subwoofer and use the front channels to drive the front components.

For the front channel keep the HPF on at 80Hz. For the rear channel keep the LPF on at 80Hz. If your HU has TA then give a little delay to the front speakers.

Use one of your existing speakers in the rear and connect it to the HU. Love your wife dearly and never cheat on her. if you do, make sure she never finds out.

This is my best advice to you.

TSK, If I were you I'd wire everything, damp the doors etc. and add the sub and amp later. sortof build slowly. But if 30K is your budget and not a penny more then the Blau amp is not a bad deal. I have heard the 450 and 470 and if it at that level it will suffice for now. Someday you can get a cleaner amp. Actually see if your dealer can get your a Pio 6100 (old) or 6200 for 6K. then hear both (Blau and Pio) and choose.
