Thank you I agree. I have JBL ovals currently installed in the hatch door of my Zen and it gives amazing sound. Sounds much better than those boxed enclosures for ovals. Hence thought of asking the gurus on how it would sound on the Swift. Another reason was that I saw the pics of the hatch door in this thread, if at all one wants to fit speakers there with out cutting any metal what wud be the recomended ones.

This is just my personal opinion but isn't it better and convenient to fit them in the doors IF there is already provision made for it ?

Amey nice setup. I am also planning the same setup for my swift. As I understand from the list of equipment mentioned, the JBL 75.4 is powering the door speakers. How is the subwoofer connected to amps as I do not see any other amp in your list.

Hi Kumar, since I know Amey's setup let me comment on it. Amey is running his front components off two channels out of four. The rear co-axials are running off the headunit power and the Sub is running using 2 channels of the 75.4 in bridged mode.

better option would be to go in for 4 channel + monobloc for the sub, so that there is a uniformity in sound.

Really didn't understand the uniformed bit. Like Nurse uniform or something?

B&T bhaiya, Uniformity in the sound means all the speakers perform well upto their capablities....cauz I personally feel that the rear speakers off the HU dont do justice to the sound, and sirf naam ke liye hi hota hai. Yes yes sir, now somebody would say front satge is more important....agreed! in that case PLEASE dont have rear fills at all. the whole idea looks absurd (to me).

Nurse uniform....naah re! I'm tempted to say something yaar, but lets not do it kaif v/s pawar way! ;-)

It isn't about justice, its just so that the rear passengers dont hear anything else except bass.

Anyway, my point was from the monoblock suggestion. I thought you pointed to 'non-uniformity' (no, i dont mean undressing a nurse ) due to sub running off the bridged output of multi-channel amplifier.

Illusion and Swift, nice Combination.

I have just got the delivery of my RED Swift VDi, planning a decent install under 30K, Illusion might just be the right choice. I would have to settle for a less expensive HU though.

Congratulation on the wonderful install, enjoy the THUMP

I thought it would have given an amazing Bass and Treble Response.

What is it that you are looking at now

This LBM thing is rubbing off on a lot of people. He wants MF Drive type bass. 500+ watts of amplification running a DVC Illusion Audio Electra 12" sub.

Great, I am collecting all subs people intend to throw out. B&T just put a board mentioned Electra 12" out of stock and then we can auction off the sub in the Wagon R and my car for a premium for exclusivity . And then buy a bigger better monster with the money we make LOL.

EDIT: I haven't turned up the gains on the amp yet. It is on zero everywhere.
