The 8 inch driver kicks in brilliantly. The vocals are great and so how are highs. The imaging is perfect. The install is great. The hu is really amazing. The ground zero sub gives really great bass. It integrates witi the front stage really well. The ground zero amp is really great. Great choice amey. Great install and tuning again ajay bhai.

A small change made in the setup recently.
After my Mid range went bust, I had to find a replacement but that turned out to be a pain since we couldn't find anything perfect to compliment the remaining setup.
So we went with something different, removed the midrange and tweeters and just installed Illusion Audio CH-1 Horns

So now the current setup is somewhat like this,

Pioneer P80 RS HU
Illusion Audio Carbon ND8 Midbass Driver
Illusion Audio CH-1 Horns
Illusion Audio EL62 Rear Co-Axials
Steg K4.01
Ground Zero Uranium GZUA 1.1000DX
Ground Zero GZ-RW 12XD-AL
Custom Subwoofer Enclosure
Sommer RCA Cables for both Subwoofer and Fronts
Neutrik terminations on Sommer Co-Axial cables
Illusion Audio speaker cables.

These horns are in a different league altogether. Period.
Just loving it !

Hey Amey,

I have read through the entire thread and really impressed with the equipment you are running. Also noticed the increase in level of equipment and ultimately ending up blowing your budget out of proportion which the ICE section of TBHP is well known for :-) I was in the process of having a similar setup but is on hold due to the ever increasing budget by the day. But then, I am sure the end result is worth every penny.

However, I noticed that this is the second time part of your equipment is going bust; the first was your 'prototype' mono amp and now your mid range. Any particular reason for this? Are the equipment not reliable or is it too much of power being supplied to particular equipment (which is not likely since B&T has done the setup)?

Well anything going bust because of bad installation or improper tuning is not possible in case of B&T. I can assure you that much.

The first time the Prototype Mono went bust was thanks to some dry solder and the VRM going bust. Its rectified and kicking hard in my Getz

As for the Mid Range, basically its a driver meant for Home Audio speakers and not car audio ,atleast thats what I am told. Extreme conditions like us can be pretty hard on delicate equipment. I guess heat caused the adhesive to dry off and the vibrations it was subjected to because of powerful door closing ( Thanks to my idiots at office,my staff) may have caused the damage. Thats what I personally feel.

B&T is in a better position to answer why it went bust.
