Even the Bravox EDX is a killer sub, though i am sure you did not buy it, it is available thru a very selected dealer network only to direct customers.

Check out the sub below,

Well like Sam I am not guessing either. I stated earlier somewhere that it is mighty difficult to guess 4-5 products from millions available out there in the international market. Imagine if I start a thread saying I am buying a car, guess which one? Hint: It has 4 wheels (+1 spare), an engine in the front, a hatch, accelerates to 100 in more than 15 seconds, drinks petrol, etc? Would you be able to guess?

I am sure about your setup and know what you are ordering. Enjoy your days of thunder.

Coming back to the thread....

The new system will be 3000 watts RMS. Now at this point electricals need some serious though. I had a alternator upgrade on my mind. But cant find a person who can do a alternator upgrade. Only guy i spoke to was, a mechanic from Rolls Royce (contact through a friend).

I assume that 125-150 Amp alternator would be required for new system.
Speaking to him i realized that the alternator costs a BOMB!! (35-40k New) and (15-20k used). Moreover it would have been the first time for the RR guy to upgrade a alternator, so i kind of feel like avoiding it.

So going round and round and searching through the web i came to know about the BIG 3 upgrade. Some suggest that it can be considered a cheaper alternative to upgrade a alternator. Is this really true? Doing BIG 3 precisely as it meant to be done.....does it satisfy the need for this new system?

Well, i am getting some extra 0 guage + earthing cables with the cable kit i am getting. So probably, might use the same for BIG 3 upgrade.

Note: Install will happen in Accent CRDi

1. do the BIG 3 before you decide that your present alternator is not up to the task. if you do the alternator upgrade the BIG 3 would have to be done anyway.

2. for the alternator upgrade try Pai Electricals in Santa Cruz (W). Near Juhu Garden.

Amit when I joined the forum my first question asked was http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/ask-gu...much-load.html

and I answered it myself in this post myself http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/188318-post36.html

What i was offered were power cable upgrades in which case I was using 2 gauge (35 mmsq) power cable that time. Since in a high watt setup the voltage drop in inevitable I dont know how few people tend to overcome in there installs, Anyways do read the whole thread it is only 3 pages long.

So my question to you amit ->

Why do you need a Alternater upgrade ?

Same dates as your

Hmm...answer to your question is that, i happen to download a manual of the amplifer, which says need Min 140 Amps alternator. So i was just thinking of the alternator upgrade.

BTW....how much Amp alternator would be inside a stock Accent CRDi (Diseal)??
