You like the looks? IMHO the new series look quite bad (at least in pictures, since no one on TBHP has posted real life pictures yet )

Even the basic 3050 does all of this. About Rs. 5500/- grey.

I would hate to start a new thread, but could someone who has bought any of the new Pioneer HUs please post pictures?!? The 'official' photos don't really say much.

Sounds too good to be true. Whats the catch then ? I mean, how does it compare with the 7950 and 4950(other than USB facility) ?

Edit: Another point - Compatibility with a Pio steering remote

No catch. It has subwoofer output, 3 bands of equalization, etc. As compared to the 7950, it doesnt have the 3 pre-outs, HPF crossover, fancy display etc.

Must mention that after a long time, Pioneer has changed the way the audio menu works. It now has an enter key for entering sub-menus like fader, subwoofer etc.

I think all of them should be comaptible with the steering remote and the limited controls it has. Never tried it.

Subjective. If you're used to the previous type (like I am, for the past 15 years or so), it just becomes embarassing when the cd player with your friendly Pioneer badge does weird things on pressing the usual buttons.

Yeah, tell me about it. I just got teh 5050UB fitted into a friend's Estilo and it took a few attempts to understand the menu after being used to the old pios.
