More details : 4 channel Amp

Please provide your inputs.
If the prices mentioned are true then it will be great help for people having a tight budget (like me). I am currently looking for an amp to run my JBL GTO series comps (front doors). But i do not understand the technicalities mentioned :(.
One look at the site DMPSS.COM and it seems boston acoustics is also associated with them in someway (but then any other site will also claim that they are good)

Further details on 4 ch amp
-------------------
Low distortion 4 channel amplifier
MOSFET power stage
0.3 V to 6 V input
Low pass filter (80 Hz / 18 db / oct)
Tempatrature Protection
Power : 50 W RMS * 4
Compact Size

Rate is 4900 INR 12" woofer 1200w free
-------------------

All this with bill and warranty...sounds lucrative then my other options (which was only blaupunkt in my < 5 k budget)

Gurus Please help

Errr... is there some typo or are these the correct prices?? A sum+amp for 5K with B&W?? Where can we get the stuff from?? And is this the real philips or is it something like 't'akai,'k'nokia etc etc, where the extra alphabet would be almost invisible??

Yes, more information would be excellent (as would an improvement in presentation of posts).

Not much clue about more info

I just called up the number mentioned in Overdrive ad and got this info
Even google didn't help with any reviews. The prices are really low - True. But only Gurus can help with the worth of the produst.
50 RMS - not sure if it can run a 12 " sub

Yes, no mention of any Philips amp of this name / model anywhere.

For the sub, one will need to bridge 2 channels, which will give 100W rms - "something is better than nothing" variety.

If one doesn't have any amp, this will give 2 channels for driving front speakers + 2 channels for 'driving' sub. If the sub they are offering is a dual-voice-coil sub, each channel pair would be bridged to drive 1 vc each.

Some pioneer subs models are still at 150 watts rms.

Query

JBL GTO P650 specifies

Power Handling, RMS90 Watts Power Handling, Peak270 Watts
Does that mean it can't be run from an amp providing 50 RMS like the one provided by philips

But the amp will not able to drive it to its full potential, as the amp will start clipping.

Thanks for you inputs LBM
From your experience can you suggest any such easy-on-pocket amps which can drive the above GTO components

Combined Package Amplifier + Subwoofer : 5k

Gurus,
Please give me a suggestion over a package deal of 5000 rs. i am getting for Philips 2 channel amplifier and 12" Philips Subwoofer in the package.
Is it worth buying it? does philips sound better in ICE. They are in the audio business since decades.
