Pio plays one note bass and is a headache rather than music (and hence percieved louder)

I've used Pio 7300 mono and its a waste of money.

Guys, after a lot of R&D I have finally narrowed it down to these two :

1) Pioneer GM-5300T (Bridged)
2) JBL GTO 75.2 (Bridged)

Can any of the veteran ICErs let me know about the grey market prices of these two ???

if you can still source the cs 300.1 jbl mono amp from grey then that would be one of the cheapest mono that pumps out 300W rms should cost you around 7500 to 8000bucks with good negotiation skills you should be able to get a wiring kit of 4guage in the same budget!

as for the sub get the pioneer TS-W307D2 or the D4 ones that are DVC sub they are great VFM for the price, and will surely surprise you, but be warned you will have to source a suitable enclosure for the same!

I sort of agree. Pio subs are boomy and make me feel uncomfortable when I listen to them at length. The last I heard was some champion series sub which was disappointing.

very difficult to get in grey in delhi, just like Pio 510. i somehow doubt the wiring kit coming in the same price.

If the choice is between above three amps. Go for JBL mono. It will be best for the sub, and light on the car electricals also.

Seems like JBL rules in t-bhp....

I will try to find a JBL mono (CS 300.1 or GTO 300.1) cheap in the market.
But I found an anomaly in the JBL amp specs :

For CS 300.1 : 300W RMS X 1 Channel at 2 Ohm

For GTO 300.1 : 294W RMS X 1Channel at 2 Ohm

Why the GTO output is less under same conditions when GTO series is supposed to be better(and more pricey) than CS?

And the specs on JBL website dont even state the CS300.1's output at 4 Ohm load. If anyone has an idea then please enlighten me too , because if I get a JBL mono then for sometime I will be using it power my Sony(300W @ 4ohm) SVC Sub.

for the record the GTO300.1 is long discontinued!

the cs 300.1 came later and now the GTO 301.1 is going to be discontinued too i guess!

well sonic boom the GTO series is way better than the cs series any day,

it says 204W at 4ohms for the GTO amp and the cs does not mention any thing!, and the difference of 6W is not going to do any noticeable difference! and by far the 301.1 is better amp and you just said that yourself, so why delay do the killing asap! and an amp!

source either one of them and you will be happy! they are some how avaliable in Hyderabad at least in grey, how come they are not avaliable in grey in delhi?
