as for the sub get the pioneer TS-W307D2 or the D4 ones that are DVC sub they are great VFM for the price, and will surely surprise you, but be warned you will have to source a suitable enclosure for the same!
Bingo rider60... the pioneer TS-W307D2 or D4 sub is what I'm gonna get (depending on the type of amp) , no doubt about that.

But pray tell me... what is the difference between Pioneer TS-W307D2/D4 and the Premier TS-W1207D2|D4 cos I wasnt able to find any on the official Pio site.

And if I do go for any of the JBL monos (in the process reeeeally stretching my budget) , why not go the whole hog and get the new and improved GTO3501 ??

The only hurdle is that since it's pretty new I may not find it grey. Any news on it's availability....??

Pioneer USA - Champion Series

Pioneer USA - Champion Series

if you can get the new gto3501 its still great but i guess its avaliable for the time being with B&W alone!
And the premier series of the pio is a better sub than the champion ones at least the prices say so, i am yet sure to what extent these are better in comparison to the champion series!, i would want the gurus to comment on the same! because the running resistances differ for the two series!, they are clearly mentioned in the sites i have posted, check them out!

There is this JBL GT5 mono amp which is 300W rms @ 1 ohm.
Get a 300W ,dual 2 ohm sub and wire it in parallel to this amp.

The JBL GT5/GTO subs can be had for the same price and they're better built.
Junk the Pioneer sub.

If it's possible to get a JBL 12" for 3.5-4K in delhi then I'd definitely prefer it over pio W307.But can you quote the model number that would best match a JBL GTO3501 Mono.

And one query , just for my knowledge. Are all D-Class amps monoblocks and all monos D-class ??? Cos I used to think so till recently ??
