Amazing to see some people gettin so specific on what is written but thats what make us different. Phew, nice to know that the amp is working, was also of the opinion to make way under the seat for an amp, will definitely now go for somewhere else (within car of course, hehe). Take care and hope the amp is as good as ever again.

Yet to check out Rainbows??
Do it first before you do anything else. You haven't heard my Qualis after it got rainbowed?

Nice to know that your amp is fine even after the wet expedition!

Why do you want MRP F500?
It was around 18k or so in grey around 6 months ago.

Whoops! I'd missed the incident with the amp! Good to know that all is ok now. Yep, liquids are best kept as far away from Amps and Speakers (and everything else) as possible.

I'd visited our common friend in Kochi the other day, and he was very appreciative of your way of enjoying music, while you guys were listening to the new HU. He kept mentioning the name 'Jay', and I thought he had met Redfire while he was in TVM, till I understood he meant JayKay Did you check out the gear in the Innova?

Are you sure the MRP F500 is still available?

@Zakko, I also haven't got a listen to the Qualis.

Nothing happens to an amp usually if it gets wet on the insides, so long as its not powered up at the time and its completely dry when you power it up again.
You bet

I have SLX 265. Not the delux version. But other than the non adjustable crossover, this one too is a masterpiece! Costs around 9.5k! Amazing VFM. Delux crossover version costs around 2k extra I think.

You can also try Image dynamics entry level comps. I forgot the model no/name. They are also just amazing.

Try these options before you dig your pockets.

My friend, you just stand what I had in my mind! ID
Let me dig up the thread of its install here at TBHP first.

Another Q.

I know Pio wont do real justice but there is no fun getting a better product unless you know what you have right? The HU upgrade showed how better and different the two Alpine HU were.

Step by step, day by day

I intend to power my front compos and rear (yes I want that too powered from amp as rear audio isnt that great in a Safari; may coz I have stock speakers). 50W x 4 would do justice to these? Rainbows need atleast 30W nominal and ID looked like it needed more to make it sing.

Enlighten please.

Rainbows (especially SLX series) are one of the best performing speakers with less power.
Even my setup is giving hardly 30 watts per channel and the components as well as the coaxials sing with amazing precision.

That is not definitely the case with IDs. They do require a bit more meatier power. And when fed correctly, they are in a different league altogether.

Yes. Power all 4 speakers from your amp. Put the internal power IC off in your HU. Enjoy!

More pix. The only cutting was for fitting the tweeter.

The whole process will need only 60-90min IMHO if one knows how to lock the door back in and where the screws are.

I had to set the -6dB setting ON on the filter as it was too bright for my taste. I am quite happy with the GTO 608C and it plays loud and clear than what I had previously.

I hope to DIY damp it and add the four channel amp I have later.
