Two SPL subs on a 14001 will sound killer.

iD12v3 handles 500-600w easily, ported / sealed, no issues whatsoever.

Agreed to what specs say,but its kind of tried and tested and the sub is doing pretty much fine.I just said TRY i never said BUY.There are better things too,but then the price comes along as well

Infractions: 0/1 (10)

What all music do you listen to?Will probably be able to help you better!
Any particular reason why you are inclined towards GZ subs.IMHO they aren't really worth the price but its your money,so your call.
Anyway, audition all brands before you buy them.basically there are two setups you can get:
1.jbl+gz combo(recommended by LBM/B&T)
2.kenwood+id combo (usually recommended by Gunbir)

Audition all brands and equipment before finalizing anything. Dont listen to a particular person, After all its your car and your money.

Inclined towards SQ or SPL??

You auditioned a IDQ on your thread, and that too with improper box spec's i believe.I suggested a IDV3 there is quite a differece between the too,IDQ's are for selected listeners who are very particular about that they want,IDQ are specialists in LOW and KICK bass,IDQ are not made for everyone,so everyone cannot like them.people who understand that kind of bass will like it,the woofer has its characteristic,So your comparison here is kinda unfair

Listen to the IDV3+KENWOOD mono. Its not always about how loud the woofer is about how well its been controlled, what quality of bass it gives, tight it plays.etc

as far as the SLX compo's go,it again depends on the taste,im sure if a person is addicted to TS=20's,He will not find them good,as they dont play that bright.

Im not saying these are the best brands in the world, but certainly good one's.
Please be assured im getting no discounts for saying all this, its the gang bang some people are upto for this brand that is annoying.Let people select what they like, suggest the brand you prefer no need to hamper the image of the competitive brand as its been very evident in every other thread

Achha, when an IDQ can perform super low and loud in an IB set-up whats wrong with the box's "co-called" incorrect specs? anyday its better i suppose.

and sir, FYI, I've listened to IDQ in an 0.75 sqft running off Kenwood.. trust me, it never sounded upto my expectations.

.. and now lets keep quiet and let the thread starter audition the brands he shortlists and THEN decide. Cheers!!

I wouldn't call it "laid back sound", at the same time, they're not bright either. They put out a lot more detail compared to other brands I've heard at that price and beyond. The 6.5" electra driver kicks some really good midbass..

In my view, the Illusions put out good, precise midbass, whereas the JBLs are a little midbass shy.

Should i go for one sub or two?

Which of the three radio actives should i go for

GZRW 12 XD-AL 30 cm 500 watts, cast basket, 2 inch 2 x 4ohm, Alucone,
woven in leads, Xmax 18mm, SPL 91,4dB

GZRW 12 XS-AL 30 cm 500 watts, cast basket, 2 inch 1 x 4ohm, Alucone,
woven in leads, Xmax 18mm, SPL 91,4dB
One GZRW 12 XD-AL connected in series (4ohms, since the new ones are dual 2 ohm) off a 1000watt amp. You'll give the sub all the juice it needs and enough headroom!

It will be difficult toget a 1201.1 as it has been discontinued. By the way, why don't you consider the 7001? 14001 may be too much.
Still..

Yers it will be a lot of power, it will.

Please do not worry about this whole one brand vs another brand. All companies that specialize in making speakers make good speakers. All.
Go to a store you are comfortable with, check out the product that you are comfortable buying, get it installed well with some personal interest and all will be fine. GZ, JBL, ID, Hertz, Rainbow, Illusion doesn't matter. All are good. I assure you that all are good.

In the future, please do not make any assumptions on my behalf and post them. Have I recommended JBL and/ or GZ anywhere in this thread?

And I dont know what you mean by "basically there are two setups you can get". It sounds a bit like the whole audio world begins and ends with these four brands.
