Abhinav, status is that the installation is going on. Just called up my friend who has volunteered to document the whole process through photographs and according to him wiring is in process, front door damping was completed when I spoke. More I do not know. Once he is back home and I recieve the pictures will post it up.

Cheers

The crossovers need to be inside the car. Otherwise problems from rain water seepage is a potential threat.
Hopefully Sujon did a good job otherwise. I did not get a chance to drop by. Extremely sorry for that. Sujon called me and said that one of the Illusion front woofers were emitting a cracking sound at high gains. Please do run a check on that.

Do check that the HPF is enabled on the speaker channels and set to about 80Hz. That could be the reason for this. Also check that bass boost if present, is set to off for the concerned channels.

My friend who went was quite satisfied with the work. Impressed with the attention to details he said. However, I will see it tomorrow so can tell you then. Dont need to be sorry! I will drop by your office and visit you and Razor sometime on Wednesday.

B&T, is it ok to run the EL6.1 woofers with 63Hz HPF? I often do it with the MBQ. Haven't faced any issues at high volume levels.

Install looks neat, equipment is great But I too would suggest moving the x-overs away from inside the door panel to maybe under the dash. Was there a reason why it was fitted this way? Haven't seen it done before.

Will see & hear it in person tomorrow hopefully.

Congrats, and do post some better pics!

Its fine. They are often run full range in setups without subwoofers. But then what is the crossover frequency for your sub. If that plays upto 80Hz, the speakers and the sub are overlapping in the already notorious region where the car could cause a bass hump.
