Yes the P80 is better than 8850 any given sunday..infact the 8650 in the pic below has a slightly better sound than the 8850..even looks more expensive than the 8850.

Yea the P80II is same as P880

Except for the P880's Premier badging, and copper chassis. The P80RSII has a regular chassis. Its possible the P880 may be slightly different internally too...

I am happy now it sounds awesome.

I wonder why people compare the 9887 with the P80 ? the 8850 itself gives the 9887 a run for its money.

A happy PIONEER 8850 owner

Congrats.
How much for JBL 755.6 GT AMPLIFIER?

Hey Gunbir, which one due to think is better spec and would be higher tech qualities between p880 and p80RSII? Any idea about the cost of both?

Now since you have done many comparing test can you tell which one would be better in SQ to listen between Alpine 9887 and P80RSII? What I learnt is 9887 would make complete sense and will its give full potential if used with KTX-100EQ imprint.. How true is that?

D1 are you getting the P80 or P80II? Must say those ID comps looks just great. How are they against Rainbow in terms of Midbass? Great choice nevertheless.\

I would take the sounding as following...

P80 > 8650 > 8850 > 9887.

Feature wise all the HU are great having quite similar ones.

LBM by P80 due you mean P80RSII? As I checked on the Website P80 has been discontinued and is replaced by P80RSII. Are there any major difference in their feature. So what's the major difference in these two.

That seems to be a common problem with 75XXX series if there is no problem with wiring or install. My friends 75.4 used to trip alot

Things he avoid now:
1. Car under sun light so amp doesn't get much heated.
2. Sub Gains are set low.

The most effective solution he came to was AC on 100% during summers.

How much you paid for Alpine ?

I am sure heating would because the gain is set too high against the amp's tolerance level. Set the gain down little and try again if it trips.

Bro, any idea what would be the cost of the P80II? I am giving a thought too of getting one.
