I'll be powering 2xMTX XT 12-04
They are around 250 to 300 rms so 7001 amp seems to be okay.. What you say?

And by the way who is Mr. Yeti ? Its nice to know a person before giving his/her reference. I'll be buying these from jbl auth dealer in chd.

Is the sub SVC or DVC.
If DVC then its use getting 7001.else the 3500 is what you need as in SVC, you will have to power it at 2 ohm. and jbl 7001 gives close to 700 at 2 ohms

I had installed a JBL subwoofer/amp/compos with warranty(supposedly) yesterday from a dealer here in Bangalore. I wasn't aware of this thread, else I would have got it from here.

The dealer offered me a similar deal with *minimum* 30% off on all JBL items with warranty. The boxes had stickers from "Sahil International". So I went ahead with the deal. But after seeing the warranty cards I felt that the stuff might actually be from grey market as there was no way to find out if the warranty cards were genuine. He had a pile of warranty cards in his drawer! and that too in different colors: Blue, Red and Green! Also the warranty cards were blank. On insisting, he stamped the warranty card with his shop's name and wrote the model number on it.

Does somebody know a way to find out whether the JBLs are covered under warranty?
