just added this to my own urban dictionary and its my new favourite word! what an original KK. do you have variations of that word? its so much better to call a sub a booom bhudhum sub rather than call it a plain boring SPL sub.

How will a 1000RMS sub sound if you supply 300W to it ? I thought that if the sub is 1000w capable the amp must be atleast 600W capable (what i mean is 300W is just 30% of the rating ? )

Wow!!IDQ boomy and i dont understand how you would tune a sub to be boomy.Its only the size and construction of the box to some extent that can make a sub sound boomy.

listened to a Polk mono + ported ID sub combo, and an Alpine mono + Sealed GZ sub combo.

(yes, those are very unlikely , but we mad mallus like to mix and match

, both were run off 9887's )

the first combo sounded vastly better, but it was also more expensive , so I guess its not a fair comparison
