The Story so far....

The front stage comprises of a 2 way active setup comprising of a set of
1. Speakers for the Highs powered by the DLS Ultimate A2 (150w*2)
2. Speakers for the Mids powered by the DLS Ultimate A3 Twin Mono (85w*2)


The rear stage remains the same:
Morel Tempo 69x powered by the JBL GT5-S644 (like I care for the rears) (64w*2)

The sub-stage remains the same:
JBL W12GTi powered by the (very potent) Clarion DPX11551 (1200w*1 @ 3 ohms) {yeah, RMS!}


Let's get down to the front stage. AGAIN.


The highs, first.

It's rare to find these now. In fact close to impossible. Finding some of these brand new is out of question. UNLESS you know the right people :-P

Typo? I thought the mids would be getting the 150Ws.
And looks like you are getting the Illusion Horns. Impressive stuff already!

PART 1 of the FRONT STAGE GOES TO:
HLCDs. WOOOOOOOOOOT!

I bring to you the FINEST speakers ever produced by Illusion Audio, and one of the most respected, loved and recommended set of speakers of all time.

The horns. And the compression driver. Together to form a Horn Loaded Compression Driver.

Man, you guys REALLY don't know how excited (and lucky) I am to have HLCD's in my possession right now (well, almost. The horns are about to arrive any moment)

These beauties will be powered by the DLS A2, giving them about 45 w each (since the impedance of the compression drivers is 8 ohm). MUCH more than what is required, since HLCDs are SO super sensitive. (106 frikkkkin db's in this case)

If you are getting the Dyns then better spruce up your car security!

They make the SAME woofer in 2 models.
One is for lesser mounting depths, and the other, the same driver, but slightly thicker.
Both are easy to mount in cars though.

PS: High FS. High QTS. Their specs are quite weird. But they STILL sound quite heavenly, these.
