Boy, I wonder how you've wired the whole setup, although I am sure I can reliably trust you to have got it right.
And when your wife get's a new car, let's put together a system with monoblock valve amps powering every single channel in that rocket That would be fun! Or am I pushing it too far
NO No no.

This is my set up.

Front channels of HU --> ch. 1&2 of 504. 504 set to 2 ch. mode. which bridges ch. and 1&3 and 2&4. The 504 has 2/3/4 ch. mode which internally bridges ch. 1&2 AND 3&4 or only ch. 3&4 or does not bridged any channels.

Rear channel of HU --> 2 ch of 450. --> rear speakers
Sub channel of HU --> Y connector --> 2 ch. of 450 then bridged these 2 ch. and connect 4 6" woofers in series/parallel acorss the bridged channels.

Now I am leaning to this.

PA 275 for sub.
504 for front and rear in 4 ch. mode.
fear: not enough power for the front. I am addicted to the control the extra power brings.

Ok, I didn't remember that the 504 comes with an input mode selector switch. That sure makes life easier.

It'll never be the same. Accustomed as you are, to that incredible amount of headroom, the unbridged output will be a major bummer. Keep the bridged connections. After all it's your front speakers... is anything more critical than that?

Now you see my dilemma. If I keep the 504 bridged for the front and use the 275 for the subs what do I use for the rear. Only solution is to bridge the 450 for the rear but that is a lot of power. Unless I use my (alpine 9830) HU's amp for the rear. I am not too fond of use the HU's amp so there lies the source of my confusion.

If I use the PA275 for the front I can use the 504 for teh rear and subs but really that is a waste of the 504's sweetness.

lastly I can use a bass blocker and use the PA275 to drive the subs and rear in stereo mode. It means I drive 2 6" woofers + 4" midbass and tweeter per channel. I suspect I'd have to wire the 6" in series or their sensitivity would drown out the midbass and tweeter. However this means I give up sub level control from the HU.

I am going to try using the 504 in 4 ch. mode (front rear) and seeif I can live with that. If not it's back to the drawing board.

I know this. I know some of these people. I only wish they had told me before they returned them to Skoda.
