It's ICE time for my ANHC WIP Pics on Page 3

Hello everyone,

My ANHC is currently under ICEing process. This time again it will be a CarPC setup and powering Amps thru Pioneer DEH-P8650.
The screen is already in its place. Here is the link to it http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/diy-do...diy-carpc.html

The pioneer DEH-P8650 is split into 2 pieces. the front detachable panel will be seperated from it body and will be place just near the cup holders and the body will go under the seat. Its already split and waiting to be installed.

The CarPC is goin to the boot. My setup will be little bling-bling effect. I wanted to use my boot to the fullest and wanted a setup which would fulfil my both wishes to have a boot space enough for my luggage and a setup to hear the word "WOW!!" from my friends.

I have been consulting to Gunbir Sirji and GYRO in delhi for the speakers and amp to use and come to the following conclusion:-

Front Compos- Rainbow SLG 265 titans
Rear fills- Bull COA 165
Amp- Kenwood 8404 ( 4channel)
Amp- Kenwood 8104D (Mono)
Dampeing- Noise Kill
Amp Kit- Rockford Fosgate Dual Amp wiring kit.
Sub - ID CTX124.

Here I have attached the plan which was is in my mind and i drew it on the board.

This will be all made of MDF board. and the there will be an acrylic sheet's window so that my CarPC and Amps are visible.

I will be adding some PC cabinet cooling fans with the custom made and designed by me honda grill on them. But I havent decided yet where to place them so they are not there the in the drawing. I have 2 designs for the grill, one with the circle and the other without circlr. help me decide.

I will be going to GYRO in dehli for the installation in 1st week of April.

Let me know your comments and points i can improve in my plane

Hey monty, the configurations & placements look neat. Looking forward to the actual install.

Also can you quote the prices of the Rainbow comps and RF amp kits (highlighted above).

Nice setup Monty. Keep us updated. Just a suggestion : from the excellent drawings you have made, it appears you plan to use a standard desktop HDD. I have had so many crash because of vibrations and general motion. Go for a 2.5'' laptop HDD instead. Their tolerance toward vibes is a lot better. Will give you that extra piece of mind. And if budget permits, do check out solid state drives. those things are pretty much indestructible.

Cheers!

I was always happy with the DIY's I did for my ride. After looking at your DIYs I'm jealous.

Why are you using a Car PC AND a head unit since I suppose you can't use the head unit transport anyway?

well, i was using my HU before also with my carPC and wanted to retain the beauties of my HU as i like it display. And more over my carPC cannot give me 4.1 channel output unlike my DEH-P8650 unless i spend about Rs.5k to 8k on the sound card.

how did you manage to divert the wires of the speakers from the dash to under the seat? hasn't it become too messy under the seat?
