Mclaren, I do not have an awesome setup, it is a very simple one with two 450w pioneer speakers and a 12inch pioneer sub-woofer driven by a JVC HU Do you think me investing 6k for an amp would be worth? And how much does it retail in banglore anyways? (Grey)

compressed air wont dry the amp. i prefer to air dry amps as hot air from a hair dryer might damage ICs. in any case it seems the amp is fried. just get anouther 504 and continue on. be glad that you can afford the damage. i know many who lost their life savings or worse still their lives or this kin in the floods in mumbai.

there, he said it. i was wondering how compressed air would help dry it out. it could only damage the amp. Knight mate, why did you allow them to do so in the first place.

last time i fed my ibm lap with hot black tea, all i had to do was rinse it with distilled water and let it dry off under a table fan. ( yah, power was off when i was rinsing it)

Very true navin, It is not a major issue compared to those who lost thier lifes Even though the situation was not as bad as mumbai, I have friends who have lost thier vehicles completely and Jkdas, I just told them to check the condition of the amp, They have thier own modification division and I thought those guys would be able to do something, Well, that is not the case I suppose

Guys I got my amp repaired for 1200 r.s, Got it done from the same shop that i bought the stuff. He said he has replaced a chip indside and is working fine, However afterwards i was driving through Brigade road and the cops caught me because the volume was a bit high, He told me that it is noice pollution, Now if you speed then you can be caught with a speed radar, As far as the sound level in a car goes how can someone track it? I mean not by the cops judjment, I have heard that noice emitting from loudspeakers can be termed as noice pollution but does the same apply for cars also? Can you guys tell me about the legal aspect of it?

Best part is I did not pay anything, I called a friend of mine whose father works as a C.I for the police department, He even tried doing a breath test, i think he was desperate to charge me with something or the other, But is there a law against loud music paled in cars?

a safe volume for your ears is about 95db for about 45 min. lower levels if the time is longer.
