Goods segment heating up, actually this may prove to be a real rival to 407.

I wonder why Suzuki is not bringing in their small pick up which has a respectable market share in the gulf. The reluctance to develop a small diesel engine, may be?

Spotted the shifeng Winner in a newly opened showroom near ejipura...err..not sure if you would call it a showroom at all since its a small dingy place with space for just two cars. Curiously there is an spanking new unregistered amby parked along with it. So cant really figure out what is the link between HM and the winner?

Edit: just found out that HM has a tie-up with shifeng for the winner

This is 713's predecessor, the 610.

True. This appears to be a development of Allwyn Cabstar that unsuccessfully competed against the 407.

Tata itself has interesting plans for this segment, with a lot more modern vehicles planned. Unlikely its dominance will end soon.

The Product from AL will definetely be a segment higher than sub 1 tonners like Ace and Maxximo. They are likely to have a GVW of 3 Tonns and with a pay load of 1.5Tonnes

First of all, this looks really really odd. Acc to me, this now displaces the Mahindra Gio off its lofted pedestal.

Though entering the 3.5tonne is a pretty smart move, as it practically does not exist.

+1. IMO it seems a competitor to Ace.Tata ace is more proportionate in design and this would hardly create any dent to the sales of Ace.

Cheers!

Smart move, I would say. Hope they get the pricing right, and more importantly, let go off the albatross that TVS is, that's hung around AL's neck, to improve the marketing, sales and after-sales service for these new LCVs.

@julupani, do you think it's as bad as Gio? I don't think so. Anyway looks are subjective.
