just one point extra, by bitter bitter experience.
Dont try and force any part you are working on.
unless its some brute force one like a wheel nut or something.
Under the hood, things should come off with non-superhuamn efforts.
if its not coming off, youve forgotten to remove something.

Removing the bulb cover is pretty easy. You just have to push the clip and pull the cover up.

After which repeat steps 3,2 and 1. There; you are good to go. Practice it once from your home and you can change your bulbs in 10 mins by the road side.

Pretty detailed procedure.. Nice job. I jump from step 1 to step 6, without steps 2 - 5. Only fitting the back cover will be a little tricky and needs patience. You may add a DIY on accelerator cable slack adjustment.
The engine bay is simply detailed for a novice with cars.

Apart from the internal components, please let us know how and where a household vacuum cleaner can be used to clean various components like AC blower etc (I am not referring to cleaning of passenger area). Also let us know where all places water jet can be used to clean the muck in engine area.
It is important so that we do not accidentally short any electronic components while cleaning. The reason why I am asking in this post is replacing parts is much easy if the bay is clean before hand.

DIY: How to check if fuel pump not working/clogged or fuel filter clogged.

The DIY for checking if the fuel pump is not working or clogged, or if the fuel filter is clogged is pretty simple.

Attached below is the image showing the Fuel supply line (for location, check the engine bay pic). If everything along the supply lines is fine, then on turning on the ignition, fuel should be 'pumped' at pressure through these lines, into the injectors. If anything should go wrong, like the pump working erratically, or the the fuel filter is clogged and not allowing the pressured flow, then there would not be adequate pressure in these lines.

How to check the pressure in the lines?. The white clip shown in the figure is the supply line. So one can un-clip it and turn on the ignition (no need to crank). Fuel should flow in high pressure through it. If not, something is wrong.

Here is a link to a great DIY for Ikon: setting up the remote bootlid opener. I had followed the instructions and it had worked like a charm. Took just about 10 mins to finish the job as the pictorial instructions were terrific.

I never let/pressure cleaned my engine bay. Though, while cleaning I have had an experience with my engine coolant sensor. When shot, the engine will not start.

I have seen it dot. I'm planning to implement the motorized method, which is OE. The only issue is the switch alone costs ~800rs. Rest is pretty easy, and costs ~300. Any ideas about sourcing a better looking cheap alternative for switch will be greatly appreciated.

Dhanush, yesterday I asked for Remote Boot opener Kit at the service center, and they quoted 6k for it. So even if switch costs 800 , it would just be 1100+. Still a lot cheaper.
And I am banking on you for that. I just might even drive down to your place to get it fixed
