Went to the auto parts store and bought the same on the condition that I will come and return it if it didn't fit, he knows me well so he agreed. He specifically asked me not to damage the packaging which is understandable.
The printed MRP was Rs.400, he charged me Rs.350.

My car is currently 2 years old and has some 24k+ kms on the odo.

It was a simple 5 minute DIY job. Depicted here as follows.

Removing the glove box is really simple.
Just push the top on both sides inwards and pull it out. It comes right out.

There are two other hinges at the bottom, all you got to do is pull it out.

Things required.

The Cabin Air Filter.

Cutter and Small Screw Driver/Tester.

Once the glove box is out of the way, the box in question was sealed, so take the cutter and cut any 3 sides, I cut the bottom and the two sides.

Use the small screw driver to open the flap and insert the Cabin Air Filter.

Close the flap and put everything back. Your work is done. Now enjoy the fresh air without worry.

Thank you.
Can you kindly post the dimensions of the cabin filter so that it would help us to purchase correct product! Thanks in advance!

For which car are you looking to change the filter? Why not simply procure the OEM spare part from Boodmo.com (unless its unnecessarily pricey over there).

Re: DIY: Adding a Cabin Air Filter to the Honda Brio / Amaze / Mobilio

Installed the cabin air filter today on my brio. These are the parts purchased:

1. Filter element:

2. Lid

This is how it looks after installation. The lid gives it a clean look.

Excellent update and Thanks for sharing the links. You meant the lid fits nicely cutting off the blind plastic piece on the blower box or it needs some wiggling in? I see two end clips on the lid- do they just click fit on the channel?

Thanks in advance.

I cut off the plastic piece entirely and removed it, but I think the lid should fit even with the plastic still intact. There's plenty of clearance between the inside of the lid and the filter.

Yes, they just snap into place.
