Well, The simple solution to that is using Gelatin Paper. Or use those bulbs people put on their bikes. Also, in the next few days, expect a brighter setup for the dio.

Tried it on my zen today,it didnt work out coz the zeb speedo has its numbers printed on a green film,no matter what bulbs u put it still emits the same green light, however i replaced them with philips blue vision, the good side is that the speedo is become more bright and lively, rst all the a.c,rear wiper/wash buttons i removed the green condom and it glows orange, looks ok...not really pleasing though.

I am thinking of filing some leds, and moutning them near the footboard and connect them to each door switch,so that every time a particular door opens the floor board has a nice glow to it....what say?

LOL, you make it sound like something else.

Even I'm dying to find out though. Saw the DIY on the Baleno (the red one) and wanted a blue one for my SX4 but couldn't even start since I cannot locate any mechanism for removing the instrument cluster thingy. A detailed guide with photos would be hugely appreciated! I'm about as deft with these activities as a troll would be so...

that's because as previously stated the led's focus on a particular angle !! if possible change the angel and change resistor to 100ohm you will find the difference.. how much bulbs you have taken it into series or parallel soldering is done..

Did you sand down the LEDs to a matte finish? also did you file the tips to flat ones? if not please try doing that and see the difference. Also try 3 LED's in a series with a 47 Ohms 1/4 watt resistor.

i sanded all of them with paper but didnt flatten it, maintained the round dome on top. its three in series with 68 ohm resistors. the two set behind speedo and rpm are with 47ohms.

Flatten the top completely, im sure the spread of light will be much better after that. Also use 47ohms 1/4watt resistors for all sets.
