While innovative as a concept, there are multiple legal repercussions of having a color-changing car. What will be the legal registered color? (Surely not "Depends on Owner" or "Greyscale" or "50 Shades Of Grey"? )
Worse, in case of traffic offenses, it will be a lot harder to identify the offender.

Update on X4/iX4

– it is possible that the X4 (G46) variant, i.e. the combustion variant, is cancelled

– the iX4 goes ahead, being manufactured in Hungary. Its internal code is NA7

BMW IX Xdrive 50

I am not in India anymore, but I just got my hands on a BMW IX EV this week.
Thinking of how helpful this was back in the day (when I checked this everyday).

If there is enough interest, or if it will be helpful - would fellow BHPers like to see me start an ownership thread?

Cheers

Please do start an ownership thread and treat us to some lovely snaps of the ride. Your thread could potentially help someone who's eyeing the IX (unintentional pun there!). Take your time and compile it in the Assembly Line.

We will also feature the thread on the homepage!

Congratulations!

You can start with an initial report about the vehicle, specifically the range part and overall comfort besides the buying experience. What other vehicles you looked at, and why did you choose iX? and which variant did you pick?
