I feel it would have been better, if everything was in focus, instead of everything OOF.

Naah, too tight a crop. Just leave it alone.

Hope I got it right.. :D

Bokeh looks like the main object, instead of being in background. It almost looks like bokeh smoke coming out of the cup.:)

A hanging lamp's shade. I only have a point n shoot and use Google's Picasa for editing.

Thanks. Will try and see if they allow us to capture photos on the Brigade Gateway campus. Have thought of a nice angle after walking around.
Btw, which lens would be good for capturing buildings and its surroundings?

Hellwrath, what to say, just amazing. Was reading your earlier posts on this thread the other day and you've improved leaps and bounds from the beginning. There's that feeling of freshness, whenever I see your pictures. clap:

Hey thanks man, glad you liked them. Sorry, I missed replying to your post earlier, slipped my mind. The only advice I can give is to walk around and figure out the best angle you can get for this building. Try to think about lines and how they'll act out in your composition. Come to think of it, I had shot the same building last year with a camera phone, so here's what I could come up with limited time:

Also, it helps to look at photos from sites like google/flickr and see how people have shot similar buildings.

Useful feedback. Now that I think of it, the image isn't conveying anything with that composition - only attractive element is the colour.

Here's a peeping pic. I wanted one of Tom too, but he didn't oblige.

I am not sure what he was thinking, and am glad that I didn't have to find out:). I might have shared this photo in B&W, but the coloured version looks better.

One thing I like about this photo: the eyes look different -each pupil dilates differently based on how much light is falling on it.

Clicked during today's rain.

How far were you, and what lens? The peacocks in my office don't let me get any closer than 100ft, unless I am behind the one-way glass.

20 -25 feet away perhaps. I was in the vehicle, and had to shoot in those few seconds before it scampered away.

Shot with the D90/70-300mm VR, slightly cropped.
