I like the 2nd one with sand falling off. Creates an interesting subject. Where is this place?

Thanks! Yours is perfect timing too. Low and Fast. Classic

This place is Antelope Canyon in Page Az. A 5 hour drive from Las Vegas and a must visit. If possible take the 11 am tour when the sun beam hits the floor. We missed it.

Pleasantly surprised to see that this photo is getting decent appreciation on 500px :). Had posted the unprocessed version long time back, but recently did some post processing, so reposting again.

Nilanjan, great shot. Nice collection of photos on 500px.

Heres a Crested Pigeon warming up early in the morning.

So recently I became a member of 500px and 1x. 500px is not really helpful for getting feedback, but helps in culling down photos and understanding what appeals to most folks. 1x critique is helping me think about how to make a good photo better.

Unfortunately, both the sites aggravate my lust problems that crop up when I look at some of the photos taken with the D4/D3S and a pro long prime lens :)

Amazing pic there nilanjanray and your 500px pages have great photos too! Great pics @Gandhi.@dzired & @Chevelle. I am visiting this thread after a long time. Lots of amazing photos to see.

As for gear lust one of the ways to avoid it is stop looking at or at least ignore comments with details of the gear. Easier said than done I know. :D

+1 his expression made me laugh. Very cute little boy.

@nilanjan, the catwalk is superb!

Thanks. It is not that always I look at the gear details, it is that some of the photos stand out and it is apparent what type of camera or glass was used :)

Thanks folks.

Here's another re-treated B&W shot of a cat (in Tadoba National Park). This was originally shot in JPEG - before I started shooting RAW. Guess I oversharpened a little bit.

Since I am not going for body or lens upgrade in the near term, I figured that I might as well spend some time on experimenting with PP - something that I had totally ignored earlier.

Edit: @ Chevvele: great shots, wouldn't it make sense to tone down the highlights, lift the shadows and perhaps increase the structure a little bit?

Had a superb rainy weekend at Kabini....here's something that conveys the mood in the jungle.

PS> The soft painting like feel is intentional :)

Why has this place gone quiet? Come on guys, post more photographs :).

TG/Sunil,
Sorry about replying so late. That $20 lens is Nikon 75-240mm. It's an old lens but works really well on micro four thirds.

Chevelle,
Love those photographs. I intend to visit Antelope sometime this year. When is the best time to get there?

It's spring/summer, so here are two photographs from me for this season:

@Hellwrath, amazing close up shots there clap:

Shots of dried flowers and one long exposure from my side.
