Thought the water ripples around the duck looked pretty cool, so took a photo of it

Regards,

Good one TG :thumbs up The contrast of the waves and the bird feathers makes an interesting composition. Would a polarizing filter provide a interesting image of this too ? Just wondering. Probably taking out the shimmering waves will make this too plane.

From my iPhone:

Thee flower had fallen on the hood after a heavy shower.

Not a great set of images, but wanted to share it nonetheless. In Dec 2009, had gone to this beach resort near Alibaug. As i stepped out of my room to go to the beach, this snake crossed my path with a frog in its mouth! Was stunned but managed to click a few snaps..hands shaky, but was an awesome experience :D. This is a striped keelback, i believe.

This is not a doctored image, but straight from Camera!

Did some trial and error with white balance, screen brightness (in the windows phone) and metering while clicking the picture in HTC One X (Phone on top), but then it was an easy click with my Sony camera.

Simply an awesome pic. I took me some while to realize that there was an actual phone and not just the upper half glass of the body. Truly well executed.

How did you manage to take such a perfect pic managing the edges in the OneX?

Thanks!

The picture taken in HTC One X covered more of the Windows Phone. Then it was pinch-zoomed to match the actual size of the Windows Phone and then I aligned the picture manually to suit the edges from this particular angle.

Aah! Pinch-zoom! Innovative Idea that I should try some time.

Thanks! :)

Thanks! It was natural light, no flash or any artifical light. There were a lot of trees around, so the alternating light and shade has probably created that effect.

Here are a couple again.
J&S twin islands in Andmans. Very few places where you find yourself on a beach with sea on both the sides.

And a rotating bridge in Buneous Aires. This rotates around main (second in image) piller with wire holder truss and the slight gaps you can see after and before the first and last bridge piller. Was an unbelievable place in the night on the last 31st Dec-12 when I was there. The image is taken around earlier weather in the year.

Good hardware JM. I think the first picture can do with some work on overall image composition by maintaining symetry around the central pagoda dome and composing the photograph around that. Also, I believe the 18-55 lense is not really much to talk about but can give a better focus that what is present here. The secod image seems to be processed. Is it ?
