I used one of the pre-set settings in Photomatix pro.

Avoid the presets, play around with Strength, Luminosity, Black Point + White Point and smoothing.

Lovely colours and clarity. What lens were you using?

Thanks! Canon 18-55 kit lens.

Nice shot. But the watermark - running across the image detracts from the image, IMO.

i know; but after the plagiarism attempt by Tata on one of my pictures i had posted in TBHP, i'm a bit careful about my pictures i upload on the Net.

These are from my recent trip to Mahaballipuram

Nice capture and focus. I think if use of graduated filter at the top portions of the image would have been more subtle, this would have added to a great capture. One can identify a clear line above which the image has darkened. This effect on the sky is welcome, but it spoils the overall bracketing of the building. But a great image nevertheless. Thanks for sharing.

Good attempt tupai. Specially the second one. Would be an interesting unprocessed image due to diversity of the contents. Off course the sky will be overwhelming (as always) and omnipresent entity.
Here are a couple of amateur attempts.

Here's a lovely cover song by my friends . Maaye ni Meriye & Aa Sajan (acoustic cover )
I did an impromptu video shoot . And here is the end result . Constructive feedback will be appreciated . Cheers .:)

Thanks, regarding the post processing, I am a sucker for this surrealistic effect and love playing around with it. The unprocessed image was nice but it was too bland for my taste. Hope to learn and improve a lot more from guys like you as time goes. :)

P.S I loved the first pic. :thumbs up

Good catch. I hadn't noticed on first glance.

Today around noon I had gone to the park with my daughter (to take some shots of her), and was hurrying back because it had started drizzling a bit. Near our gate I saw this colourful lizard climbing up a broken wall. I slowly moved away a bit so that it doesn't get spooked (it seemed pretty jumpy), and then moved to the side from where I could (hopefully) get its profile. It paused for a moment at the top, that is when I got the shot.

Good one nilanjan. Wanted to try out one of these 70-300 myself. Let me know your experience with this. I was thinking about the Sigma or Tamaron with a Macro mode.
I was seeing quite a few images processed using Photomatix. never used it myself. hence tried it yesterday. Instrument was a Sony Cybershot :D point & shoot. Frankly, don't really like the results, but it's a start lol:.

Few pictures from my side. All shot from my first SLR D5200 with 18-55mm kit lens. All shot with Manual mode. High resolution image can be found in http://500px.com/ashokkumart1980. Experts comments are welcome as i am only 3 weeks old with SLR.
