Not much action, what were you doing over the weekend folks? :)

This photo got decent responses at 500px, and went till Page 2. Could have gone a bit higher higher (IMO) if I had done some active networking.

Nothing great of technical about this picture.

But, what grabbed my attention was the fact that this bunk is built on the beach and has the waves hitting the wall behind and is on the West Coast were the Monsoon hits the hardest.

Location is Beach Road, Calicut.

Thanks! girimajiananth. I bought a Simpex manual flash for 1800/-. No TTL mode, just manual settings, you can use it either as master or slave and use triggers to fire it off camera. In this pics, it was used on camera at a 60 degree angle. There is one more brand called Digitek which is available at the same price.

Cheers!!!

I tried searching online , but could not find it for 1800 Rs . Did you buy it online? Most websites quote 2.5K + prices . Need to visit a few shops and find out .

Nope, I bought it in a shop in Fort, Mumbai. They are always cheaper than online options.

Nice - that's when your flight would have been landing on Runway 29. The brown building in the centre is the Radisson Hotel, and the rest of the habitation is an area called Mahipalpur.

Most of the cabin crew have prevented me from taking photographs, and i have stopped trying now. I do know that its not banned as heard from my plane spotting friends. how do you handle the cabin crew?

And how do we avoid the reflection from the glass?

My baby at a local zoo. I think this is the best portrait shot I have shot yet. The composition could have been better. Did not feel like cropping too.

I always click pictures during landing and take off when cabin crew people also have to be seated.

I don't think taking photos of outside sky is prohibited in any case.
