Lovely. Was this shot from the Southernmost tip of Navy Nagar near US Club?

Uttarakhand Himalayas, October 2012. I was walking on a mountain path, looking to shoot some raptors, when I saw the moss - on some trees overlooking a valley - backlit with the rays of the setting sun. Stopped and shot with the telezoom lens I was carrying for wildlife.

A long exposure shot taken from my balcony. Slightly edited and highly compressed.

No, it's from where I stay near Colaba post office.

Close enough. I stayed in Navy Nagar for sometime, just after I got married. Unfortunately before I picked up a camera ( not counting snapshots).

Soumyajit, that link which you posted is actually very good. Though it looks tedious it is very simple.

Cross posting link to image from my TL. Used the above method to achieve it.

This was casuallly shot sometime January this year. More than 50% cropped image because I don't have long telephoto lens.

Thanks a lot for the link. This tool is indeed very simple to use. But I found that the saturation level goes for a toss while managing the colours. I couldn't manage, but my kid's cheeks turned saturated red too while making his hood red. So I switched back to GIMP.

Wow, that one is a nice pic !! Absolutely agree, the level of perfection one can achieve with GIMP is mind blowing. I managed to edit some pics using GIMP. Once I edited 2 pics, the remaining 2, I could edit without having to refer back to the help page. So basically, now its a cake walk for me. :)
Will post a pic soon.

Before the storm...
