It's the Galaxy Grand. The light was excellent that day which is why the photos turned out very nice.

Some HDR images from my side. Merged using the trial version of Photomatix Pro:

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Took these photos over the weekend today. It just started out as a hobby in spare time. Kindly provide suggestions for improvement.

Hi there
First of all, you got a great camera. Can you mention the Lens specification as well.
Coming to the snap, from an onlooker point of view (I'm still a newbie in this field ).
Composition: A good photo is all about composition. The placement of light house, the setting Sun, the shore line. Amount of sand seen in the picture is far too high.
Focus: In current snap, nothing is in focus. Hard to know what is in your mind
Exposure: It's under exposed on relevant side (lighthouse).
White Balance: Check if you can fiddle with the white balance to get the correct light.
DOF: To achieve this, select a narrow aperture of around f/16 or f/22 to get maximum depth of field, then focus one third into the scene to ensure your photos are acceptably sharp from the foreground to the horizon

So I'll advice you to go back to same spot and click again. You'll see lot of diff in the outcome if you keep these points in mind.

Cheers

Here is a shot of the evening view from my hotel in Maimi. I was there a month back.

Thanks. That's taken with a Canon EF-S 10-22 mm lens.

That's a nice shot too. Unusual subject

Thanks Arun! I have used 18-55mm Kit lens. I had used the built-in scene mode of sunset for this shot. I shall try your suggestions on program mode, on the next visit.

Nothing close to the kind of images posted here, but this view from the car provoked me to share the image with all :

One more.

Mods: you might want to merge the two back to back posts.

Beautifully captured.
You certainly are a source of inspiration to many souls like me.

Was trying a couple of close-ups today, long way to go though.

@nilanjanray
Loved the Chameleon! Awesome catch!

Spotted a couple of Bald eagles recently. Was lucky to have the right lens set up with me at the time!

A superb reward for basking in the sun on a warm Saturday morning - a blue tailed bee eater landing on a perch.
