Yesterday night. Handheld.

One question: Can a tripod be used to take pictures vertically. I mean, shooting up at the sky and all?

@appuchan: good fire works pictures. Your road to heaven pictures are too good for a running car pic, through the wind shield. did you use a polarizer filter?

@condor: beauty as usual. nice composition.

@crazy driver: Developing an interest towards B&W? How do you add these frames to your pics?

Thanks. No filters were used. Just plain shoot.

The first picture is from Lassen Volcanic park and second one is on I-280 ("World's Most Beautiful Freeway") in CA.

why not, you can point a tripod practically anywhere except it's own feet.

in fact there are timed tripods for astronomical telescopes which counter-rotate with earth's rotation. they can be used for long exposures.

Nothing intentional!

Frames: I do it in photoshop. Drawing a box (excluding the frame area) using the rectangle selection tool, inversing it (Selection>inverse) and painting (brush) or playing with brightness/contrast.

Hey CrAzY DrIvEr here is mins clicked handheld. I managed to get better pics with hand than tripod blame it on my Sigma 70-300 mm it never gives sharp image and the wind makes tripod shake a bit..

First one is cropped image and the second one is the uncropped image.

Nothing exceptional? All of these are grt shots.

Sky in first one is hard to come across with a camera.

2nd one has details of both sky and kite that too hard to get details any one without missing the other.

3rd daingerously close.

4th nice angle.
