Just brilliant boss! Superb stuff.. you are using your new lens to its best :)
Shots from Rashtrapathi Bhavan. Taken last friday. Blue sky was unfortunately absent.

kvish: Awesome view; yup the blue sky would have added more color to the bland sky

@rippergeo, your living in heaven dude. These are some amazing sunsets which are captured by you extremely well. And your lucky to be seeing it on a daily basis. Did you change the WB for each image. If yes, what was choosen?
Which camera do you use? |
I like sunsets, and I risk boring my viewers with repetitive shots.
its not paradise. its cochin. and its 7kms from MG road:)
I found that my camera has more capability than me in giving the best possible shots. i leave it in automatic most of the time. this evening, the sun had already gone down by the time I got to the bridge, so did not have time to fiddle with the manual settings.
all pics taken in "no flash" mode with AWB(auto white balance)
I use a canon EOS 350 D with a polarising filter that is stuck to the front of my primary lens.:Frustrati

Taken during an early morning London - Frankfurt flight last winter, with a Panasonic LZ5. Downsized and processed to adjust levels:
A different world above the clouds:
A jet trail higher up:
Clouds have a cloudy sky too:
Another shot in between cloud layers while descending:
A classic winter shot that I had missed taking (too groggy after the Bangalore-Frankfurt night flight) was of a church spire sticking out of a horizon-to-horizon rolling fog, while descending to land at Frankfurt. Imagine the first photo above with a church spire showing above the clouds. I was so spooked:Shockked: I thought I was still asleep and dreaming that I have reached the pearly gates!
A few shots of Bangkok, taken in Nov 2005 with a Casio EX-S2:
Wat Phra (Temple of the Sleeping Buddha):
Chinese guards at Wat Pho (Temple of the Jade Buddha):
The stupas at Wat Pho:
Satay, any one?

Taken at ranganthitu...

^^^ WOW! What's with the ultra-dark backdrop, @gkrishn?
A snap of the road to Jebel Hafeet mountain in Al-Ain, UAE. Taken from a view point halfway up the mountain.

^^ Wow!!! Amazing road....I can hardly see a couple of cars......

I guess we were lucky that day. This was taken at around 9-10 am. And it was cloudy. Usually at this time of the year the sun used to beat down.

Thanks TG.
How about this one.
View it in full size.
There is some compression artifact around the birds head. Not sure why this image is resized on display.
