Red rage, when did you go there? In the above pic, for some reason the "white" in petals is for some reason not as good as in ur pic.

Its a white balance issue, if you shoot raw, you can make white whiter than white.

I have shot that in raw. Tried it in DPP. But for some reason couldn't get a satisfying white on those petals.

Nice ones redrage,gkrishn. :thumbs up

Looks like these butterflies are in quite a few memory cards in Bangalore !!

Use the color chooser tool to set white point on the Petal. After that adjust the levels and curves and/or exposure to bring the petals to white level.
Shots which have white in most of the frame are usually underexposed. So shooting with +0.5EV in RAW is recommended, as RAW has enough headroom to recover 0.5EV in blown highlights.

Kvish, welcome to the party. Those are very sharp, crispy pics.

The zoo was pretty useless, I got bored with it and then stumbled on this gem. Even though it was not big, the place had a good collection. Planning to go there again some time.

I was there on Saturday (24th May) at 11 am.

The shot was Aperture Priority, Shutter 1/800, Av 7.1, Exp Comp +2/3, ISO 320, White balance - daylight settings. I shot the picture in Jpeg.

Here is a shot I took with slow shutter speed. Its a mug with beer.

Very nice. Did you crop it or was this the original frame?
