Well, it is monsoon, go try. The second pic is just a Manipal road.

@suren- thanks for trying. it is so flattering to have that pic worked on by so many people. |
Just wanted to see them all together.:D
Original
Various PP attempts
--------------------

I still like the PP'ed effort by Rippergeo which is the 2nd image in the listed PPed series
Tried a few potraits recently (not much time in hand to shoot other subjects). Very minimal processing. Any comments to better them?

opps sorry. I meant the 2nd image in the complete list and as you right pointed out the first in pp'ed list
here's one from my 1st camera. A kodak point and shoot (DX6490)
taken somewhere near Giant's causeway- Northern Ireland. the coastal road in that area, I forget the name, was amazing.
Here are a few from my humble sony DSC-H2. Hope its good enough to be put in this thread.

@jomz- the colour balance in the pic looks off. or was it just a very red evening? |
was kinda experimenting with saturation..actually the colors were pretty dull in tha actual pic..
Ripper?? how do you expect the color balance to be??
@jomz
the warm tones are too prominent in the pic.
reds and yellows predominate.
the trees and the leaves look ok, but the ground and the sky look unnatural.
what software did you use?
just picasa... i have to start experimenting with photoshop...

Picasa's pretty good. I've been using it ever since it was released by google.
just started using photoshop a week ago. its a steep learning curve.
Photoshop lets you select the areas you want enhanced. which is what I love about it.
attached below is a photo i had great hopes about when I clicked it, because the scene was so beautiful. when i got back home and saw it on the monitor,:Frustrati
was going through my old pics and decided to work on this for fun.
I shot the pic originally in jpeg, thinking I'll never be able to PP RAW files. now I regret it big time, thinking of all the wasted opportunities.
this pic could have been so much better if I had more data to work with.
A couple of snaps which i liked..Many of you must have seen the first one.:)
Gautam, do some auto-leveling, it will improve multi-fold.
@corsalove- just tried my hand at the 1st pic you posted.
hope you dont mind.
its not very good, but I'm still an "L" boarder at Photoshop:)
EDIT- its a very nice pic. wish it was mine.
