Shooting this kind of fireworks is very well documented all over the web. Just google for Fireworks photography, you will get hundreds of links. But shooting our own home diwali fireworks is a completely different ballgame.

@gkrishn: Awesome Awesome Awesome firework pictures!

Simply amazing. Can I get full resolution pictures please?

Shot at the Marina....

aah nice :) . I love such pics, good one harmon_bro.

Here are some things I shot today - I am learning... All shots with the Sigma 17-70

Here is something I found flying around - Turned out to be a Dragonfly. Dragonfly's sure have changed from the time I last saw one! :)

The picture is soft and a little OOF. I was balancing on one leg while trying to get closer to this very skittish creature - I was all over the place! In fact I will put up a few of my flower attempts where I clearly need help.

Guru, looks like you got a huge new stock now! Great capture!

Nothing much rudra. Had been to this great location this week end. This is a crater formed on top of a mountain, due to a volcano eruption few thousand years ago. And this lake has this characteristic deep blue colour and it is absolutely beautiful. Did a lot of shoot. Only few turned out good. Not really that happy.

In the second one, i was to trying capture the depth. But the midday sun means too much contrast. And flowers in foreground got overexposed.

My pathetic attempt at photochop.

Folks - it is not my intent to be self .. whatever! Please do critique - and tell me what I should be the correct way of doing things..
