I would really really love to visit the lalbagh at this time, but the moment I switch on TV, I get scared to get out of the house. With an infant and a 3 year old, I cant think of any outing until we get a clear sky on the H1N1, you know ! I have gone to lalbagh atleast a dozen times while being in the college (93-96 time). Now its more fun to take the family than going alone. Dont you have more lalbagh pics to share ? Waiting.

Thanks Tanveer Hugin is very simple to use. The panorama below is just made with few mouse clicks from ten pictures covering about 200 degree arc. The location is TsoKar lake just off the "more plains" on way to Leh.

I first went to Lalbagh about two years back when I got my hands on a P&S. Got some nice shots + a bee sting. Eventually, I moved out of that area and didn't go there to shoot. Recently (in May) I attended a photography workshop by Kalyan Varma. I learnt a lot & am really inspired by his work and his approach. The second day of the workshop involves a field trip and we went to Lalbagh. I loved it there. You get all types of subjects there and am really happy to have re-discovered the place. And since then, I have gone there thrice and mainly on Sundays. The good part is what my parents+exams couldn't do to me, photography has (getting up early in the morning

). I have been landing at Lalbagh at 6 am and get some nice shots.

I know the H1N1 is scary, but even without a flower show you would get a lot of beautiful flowers there as subjects. So, as you rightly said, once the H1N1 thing clears up you could take your family as well.

One of my favorite pictures is attached that I got off Lalbagh (KG tower). Don't quite know if I have posted it before. But here comes. I like this picture because I wanted to capture an animal when it's resting and to add to the frame I had another social animal resting as well. Also, I am posting another flower picture that I got from Lalbagh but not exactly from the show.

Thank you anekho for liking them. I agree with you on the mankind not being that happy. The guy had just completed his physical exercises and was resting there I presume.

There is this guy who comes to that particular place in Lalbagh and brings food for these dogs every day at about 7 am. And I was surprised, even though these dogs are stray/street dogs, they were pretty well behaved and didn't see them bark/bite/harm anyone. And man, these dogs are camera shy. They just won't let you photograph them and run away every time you get close enough to shoot.

I clicked both those shots with my 70-200 lens fitted with a 2x teleconverter.
The pelicans were constantly diving for fish. Ijust followed the bird with thev lens, thats all.
