Beautifull colours of the sun in the first pic. Its an awesome photo. The "bestest" sunset photo I remember seeing for a long long time.

PiranaBoy,
Nice shot of the vulture, if you don't mind, had it been in potriat format, I think it would turn out better.

Ok here's one:

You have a keen eye!! Excellent shot maybe not from wildlife photography perspective but I love the attitude the shot exudes.

What lens?

One from my side...

Sigma 135-400mm

Since someone else said they wanted a portrait, I liked this shot better than the portrait one.. to each his own!

Besides what do I know about the subject, lol!!

As you've said a tripod is a must. You can try setting the focus to infinity for consistency..another tip is to use the bulb mode and covering the lens in between the fireworks flashes.. that way you can get multiple fireworks in one shot. A remote shutter release also comes in handy.

Finally, remember not to overexpose :)

Thanks a ton for the tip.

A few bird shots clicked with

Camera: Canon 400D
Lens: Sigma 170 500

Excellent one Fazal! Only request is to crop the shot to avoid OOD nest and clone out that branch behind.

Yeah please crop it Fazal else it looks as though the branch is stuck right into the throat of the bird. :D

I wouldn't tell you to clone out whats in the pic, but yeah a little narrower aperture, might have got the beak in focus too. Nice shot though! :)

And if I may ask you why? There is always another interesting and different point of view. So please share.

No, but I did live there during 1979-82. My Kodava thak is totally rusty now, but I can understand perfectly.

Thanks for your inputs, Tomorrow I will try a smaller aperture from another angle to avoid the branch.
