Yesterday there was a pooja at home. So there were many leftover flowers from the pooja. Today when I was looking at it, I thought of shooting one of those discarded flowers, purely in macro mode. All the dirt you see in the flower is probably soot from the Havan.

Recently when I was visiting my maternal uncle, I discovered that he still had his first and only camera from his IAF days. This was the first camera I ever used, and some of my earliest family shots are from this camera. I am talking 70s here.

Now that I looked from a photographer's eye, I was surprised to note that there was no speed or aperture control. There is one lever to switch between sunny or cloudy scene. I guess one had to really know how to shoot with this one. The single piece lens was more like a plastic one. The film roll it used is no more made. It is basically museum piece although everything still works.

Pics. of the Asiatic lion I had taken at the Hyderabad zoo, your pics of the handsome young male hold more value as they were taken in the wild.
