@guyonblackybx : Buddy, i just checked your flickr page and I am amazed!
What great shots there!
Why don't you put up some of the great macros here. Shared EXIF info will also be of much help.

OT : Why don't we see you posting more often?

Brilliant shot of the blue Sunbird!

Well we all have our likes. I like this one with the shadows much more, mainly due to its unusualness.

@guy on black ybx: The sunbird shot is lovely! A bit over-saturated though.

Lovely SuperNova, you timed it to perfection. I fail to get these shots.

Thanks CleverMax, I had to saturate it to this level to get the real colors of the bird. Sunlight was realy hard and the color poped up a lot and I wanted to get that bright color. Check out the 2nd image attached it turns out to be dark if I dont saturate and won't give me correct color.

Here are a few more of Purple SunBird:

Glad to see someone with the 170-500 sigma (or is it 150-500 ?), I am seriously considering it right now. Please PM me on how to contact you for some discussion. The other bird photos, I find the actual sharpness is missing, was it handheld ?

I own 170-500. I would suggest 150 - 500 as it is far better than 170-500. Yes sharpness is missing, 170 - 500 is realy hard to focus and it is very slow(at least with my 400D not sure how fast it will be with 5Ds or 7Ds :P
