Thats brilliant. Just brilliant. Superb portrait! |
Thanks TG! remember your comment (flat light issue) was very helpful, so now I take care not to have lighting like that. But it still needs improvement by looking at your black & white portraits.

I like overexposing to get this sort of a look. Any takers? Attachment 282689

That's a really cool looking portrait... I don't know about others but I am sure a taker! Here's an overexposed portrait I clicked some months back.

Clevermax,
True. They require PP :). And I did not use a CPL. I have seen that person somewhere, would that be you??
TG,
I would have taken it if the details on the nose were more defined or it could be the monitor I am seeing it on. Will check again :).

The overexposed portrait I've posted just before? That's my younger brother. I think it's unlikely that you've seen him. You might have seen me instead! :)
Did an ad. stuff now :D, lighting using array of 17 LEDs from the Chinese made table lamp diffused through paper.

One from me, shot today-

During my recent trip
Clevermax- great work. Thats an awesome portrait.

@clevermax
Yes, avoiding flat lighting does really make a difference!
Regards,
Tg.
Bloody! can we ban some of you from posting pix ? :p
Great one clever, shaju,tg. Wheeler ! nice timing !
Hell: thanks very informative post.
@ people. I feel Crazy's post makes one look for the picture's continuation because of the rope part and thick frame .
Please comment.
I'm not sure if it qualifies to be posted here.:)

Thanks..! Is it the thick frame that makes you want to look for the continuation? Its the rope part.. :D

What's preventing it from qualifying? :) I like the composition and the black&white!

Yes, and this one you've posted is a superb example of it. Fantastic as always. And thanks TG for your critics which really helps...! I wouldn't have realized that issue without your comment.

Yes. Does your brother work or stay in Bangalore? And an awesome portrait in the previous page (the lady). Well done mate! I like the hugo one as well, how did you manage to get the black bg? PP or light fall off?
kpzen,
I like the composition and the B&W conversion.
TG,
You have to tell us the secret of how to get pretty models to pose for us. Clevermax, he's hiding that from us, the models make the photograph look nice :P. Wonderful portrait and great lighting! :)
@Hw:
No my brother has always been in Kerala, but I was in Blr for 5 years though.. again, you might have seen me, we look somewhat similar, though I look way better than him :D
The hugo boss was shot in a (almost) dark room. I lit the subject with those LED lights and took care no light is going to the background - used something to obstruct the light going to the background - so absolutely no PP to erase the background lighting, except some light which fell on lit the floor near the bottom of the bottle.
Yes, TG is hiding that secret from us. Look at his portfolio - many portraits of pretty women!
My contribution... What do you guys think?
