That's very less!
This should be enough
A shot taken with 2MP Fujifilm P&S in 2002.
Yes clever, I am still hanging around !!:)
It was taken from the 4th floor, the fire had reached close to that level in height. What you see at the bottom dark area is our compound wall which is 20 feet to our building, a safety measure. If that distance was less than 6 feet, our building would have got fire. I couldnt click more, because the heat and ashes filled the house in no time.

TG,
I am a great fan of your B&W portraits. This is one my favorites. It evokes a feeling that can't be expressed in words. Thank you for making this shot :). |
You are welcome, and thank you too!

TG, that's a wonderful picture. As Hw said, it evokes some feelings. How do you get to shoot such short lived but pleasant moments! |
I keep the camera with me all the time, and one very important thing is anticipation. When you see something interesting, if you anticipate what it might lead to in terms of framing an instance, thats when you might end up with the moment. And yes 9-11 fps helps :)

@TG : That is a great shot! Beautiful composition and I love the way the pigeons are flying away, some with the wings blurred and some just perfect. Great capture! Only the pillar in the middle is causing some obstruction, otherwise its just picture perfect! |
I echo your feelings exactly the same way. The pillar makes it a bad shot.

Thanks TSEA. Nice photograph TSEA, i wish the black in the corner was not there.
@Shaju
Whats going on there? Looks like a fire broke out!
@bumblebeast
Beautiful, I feel you could have framed it better though.

Regards,
TG.

You have sharp eyes TG. I didn't even bother to notice the black corner area. But now that you have popinted it out, my eyes are automatically sliding towards the black corner. :)

Looks like the pictures are the results of a DSLR and a very steady hand.
Great sharpness in the lizard shot, just a better comopsition would have worked wonders IMO... |
DSLR for sure...steady hands to an extent! images 4(night shot with 11W cfl on, 20sec exposure), 5(night shot, 11W and 18W cfl on, 6sec exposure) and 10 (indoor shot, most of the light is from the diya, 2sec exposure).
It was on a cement brick on the ground. Sure was difficult to stoop down any lower, well, I could lie down flat! Was not too keen on doing that at that moment :)
guy: nice one. Thought will pitch in 2 words about that flower.
It's also called Nishagandhi here in Kerala. Rare flower and IIRC, its flowers from the leaf.
I absolutely adored this window display !
yzfrj: Thank you for liking my shot. I like your water droplets shot, but the PP could have been better. It can really make an impact. The details are washed out in the water drops. Give the PP another shot :). Do you use canon by the way?
TSEA: Thank you!
TG & Clevermax: I agree with the anticipation part esp in street photography. The only shot so far that I anticipated and got is here. It was a flickr group meet and we went to Avenue road on a saturday morning. What I saw was that the road had huge buildings, but there were these smaller streets through which sunlight was coming in. So, as I was passing by I saw this colorful guy walking on the other side and I took position for him to cross the junction so that I can backlight him and these are the two photographs that I got. And the caption for this one is "Mahatma: One among us or one in all of us?" :).
Third one is from the kite festival. This kid was my best buddy through the day. I like this shot and call it "Learning to Fly".
@HW - Love the 2nd pic.
Attaching a few window display pictures.
All are hand held, taken using oly e420 with kit lens.
