It was a pretty cloudy day that turned bright and clear soon enough!

TG is that picture distorted at the edges to get this look or is that natural look because the leaves are hanging down?

Anyway interesting composition.

It's also called Nishagandhi here in Kerala. Rare flower and IIRC, its flowers from the leaf.

Yes, had grown it and photographed it several years ago. Shall try to find any print is still with me and if so, scan and post it. More than its nocturnal beauty, the fragrance is so captivating or even intoxicating. The propagation is also through leaf. Also known as Queen of Night and the scientific name is Epiphyllum oxypetalum. See link-

Excuse me for posting a very old (~30 years) and damaged print of the Queen of Night. (Nishagandhi) It was then taken using incandescent bulbs.

too bad I had to take it from inside my window, and have little patience for PP.

A beautiful pink/purple colored flower

Nice pictures in this page!

@janita: that must be the oldest picture posted here in this thread!

@Janita
I love that shot!

@Clevermax
Lens distortion did the job :)

@HW
Lovely back lit shot, the second one. Try not to do selective coloring on your street shots. That genre is best left alone either in color or black and white, just my opinion.

Hmm.. But smart one... it made me think that the leaf bunches are hanging down!

Bear with me folks, I am in a scale model shooting spree. :D

Thank you very much.

Not too good with the jargon. PP means ? (I'm guessing processing the pic using some image editor or stuff ?)

If that is the case, I don't do it at all. 2 resons
1) I'm no good with any tools
2) I don't like to "process" it. Personally I feel you are distorting the reality you are capturing in the first place.

Yup Canon it is :)
May I know why you asked ?
