@Hw: The B/w shot of the kid with cart is excellent.
The first dragonfly macro has amazing colors! I just edited it a little bit:

Ty Clevermax . The only reason I love macro is the different world that I get to see, especially the colors on some of these little ones.

HW, its a pleasure to see the things through your lens. Those macros look really inspiring, I am already checking some macro filters to get close to them. Such a tiny creatures, but the colours are really really amazing !!

Riju, yours look like a professional one, thats the only difference from mine ! Mine got messed up more in the PP too.

Clever, thanks, you guys are always there to lead the show !!

Now what do I post ? I have half a dozen from the last weekend ! Just posting one, with bit of extra sharpening to get a matt finish ! I wish the sky was more bluish ! A filter would have helped.

Lovely pictures Veeresh! Love that dragonfly shot!

I am amazed and awestruck now!
What amazing technology lies unearthed on a P&S!
Its amazing how little things add up to a whole lot...
You all may be asking why I'm saying all this, but I'll let my pictures do the talking.
Here is today evening's result.

Maybe I'm over-reacting, but I'm truly blown away!
I need suggestions from the experts here. Please let me know what you think.

Camera : Canon IXUS 900Ti
Equipment : Nothing else.
Helping hand : My roommate (Many thanks to him for suggestions)

@clevermax: The Dragonfly looks fantastic. Superb colours there. Cheers.
@Preetam: I'm awestruck too. I wouldn't have believed that it was taken on a P&S, if you hadn't mailed me the original picture. Great work. Brilliant stuff.

Here's a small contribution from my side. Not even in the same league as the others on this thread. Just wanted to share.

Thank you Shamik.
Your panorama is really beautiful! Nice drama in the image.

No external light brother. Just flash and the room tubelight. Nothing else.

@Preetam
A nice little experiment there. I have always maintained that the man behind the camera matters much more than the camera itself, and you seem to prove that right

@Condor
Hahaha, i am considering Aperturestudent

One more from the Gull series.

Clevermax: I am curious as to what editing did you do as the photo seems to pop more.

Shaju: Thanks a lot. There are two types of accessories that you can buy. One if the close-up filter that fits on the front part of lens and then there are extension tubes. Extension tubes are the way to go if you really wanna get close to these lil ones and do some good macro work.

Preetam,

I can understand your excitement. P&S cameras are very very capable and that's the reason I am suggesting you stick with it for some more time and explore all that it can do . Here is a similar one that I had taken with my P&S (Canon A530). I call it "The Crown".

Thank you brother!
I never knew that it was possible, so I tried it it after watching an episode of Timewarp on youtube.

Your Crown is seriously a great photo!
I have something on the similar lines as yours, but its not as sharp as yours.
As for getting the DSLR, I am trying to get it only because I'd need a good amount of time to learn the camera. By the time I'm ready to get the additional lenses, I'd atleast be at ease with the Camera, Like I'm at ease with my P&S right now. Anyway I'm not letting go of my P&S, and 95% of all the photos I'll be clicking will be from my trusty P&S only.
Today I'm going to try it again with the same setup + an external red lamp. Lets see what happens.

1 More from yesterday!
