Thanks. I think its a peregrine falcon as well, I saw some images of the peregrine and it looks remarkably similar. |
TG,
Its not a
Peregrine Falcon as we assumed, see the difference your bird vs the Peregrine Falcon.
Short beak
Black beak
Other facial characteristics
Regards,
God! the T-BHP logo messed it up.

Great shots @TG, specially the first one wherein the eyes of the falcon are crystal sharp.

That's a simple and beautiful shot Speed-Pujari. Loved the composition.

I think the Sigma 150-500 is pretty usable even at 500mm if you you have good light..that too on a Canon Rebel body. I would never call it pathetic/unsuable rather its one of the best telephoto zooms when it comes to price vs performance ratio atleast for a hobbyist/amateur. I don't know about the 50-500 though.

Thanks for the honest feedback, the compression had actually killed the image. Though your image is b&w it still has a lot of dynamic range, was this one a HDR to Grayscale conversion?
Pramod
Yes, it was taken RAW, edited using details enhancer in photomatix, retouched in PS, applied noiseware, and then completely desaturated... :)
pramod! great pix! kudos to your effort and dedication.
Please take care of composition though.
@Fazal
Yes, I notice it now. DWonder what species it is though.
Regards,
TG.
@pramod: Try to avoid that halo around trees and buildings in your HDRs. You can get rid of it by selecting a higher smoothing level.
@preetam: Clone out the electric lines and the posts from your last b/w picture :) Wish the shot was taken right in front of that bike and the whole bike was in the frame..
