Love the third pic jk. A slightly warmer tone would have helped a bit more?

Thats amazingly sharp, for a night action shot. What was the lighting? Street light?

Had a drive from Chennai to Trivandrum past two days, with a visit to Tanjavur.

Yes its 100% street light, I am falling in love with my 35mm f/1.8.

Here is another one from the same spot, but its ISO-2000, 35mm, 1.8, 1/125. Few power lines are removed from the background through PS.

The first one of the Gateway is outstanding. Grey tones of the monument and the skies are just beautiful..

@ shaju: birds to human ? Can you post slightly larger pix in future so that one can click to see a bigger one?

Arvind: nice one. Loved the second one more.

Did I do justice to this pic? Do comment. This is a typical scenery which confuses me ( ie, I fail to take a good pix )

jk I think it is well shot. May be I would've moved a bit more to the right and captured more water.

Yes buddy, I am trying every possible subject that comes in front of me, not reserved to anything in particular. Latest craze is 'people' . About the size, I try to keep every edited shot below 500 kb so that its faster to upload and view, because same copy goes to my Flickr page.

I think your shot would have been better if the camera was lower to the water (totally lowest angle), present one gives a casual shot look, probably you were standing on a wooden passage or concrete slab across the water. I believe such shots come out different when we go out of our usual viewer perspective. Just my opinion, may be it might sound stupid.

Another village shot that reminded me of my childhood. I used to stand next to it and drink from the bucket whenever I was in good mood (30 years back). I dont think milk ever came in plastic packets as today, it was supplied to houses in brown or white longer bottles straight from the milking place those days.

Clever, you just typed what I thought about that shot. I was telling Das to get down to the water level, now we have to tell Pawan to come to the ground level

Oh boy, 4 posts from me in the same page, I think this thread is really really sleeping !!
