Would have been better if the photo was cropped to concentrate more on web. Otherwise noticing web is difficult. btw nice composition.

Was wondering how he created that effect! Looks stunning. :)

Oh its not something I created intentionally. The effect is a combination of flash and narrow DOF under low light conditions. It looks like the flower has been added in PS on a blurry background.

Hi Team-BHP,

This is a photo taken of clay modeled Ganesha in late 60’s or may be early 70’s. This is from Udupi. For Konkani speaking guys in Udupi, this particular Ganesha is an auspicious one. The guys from Udupi dist' might recognize this photo.

The source was given to me by my friends dad, he requested me it can be retrieved to a certain extent. So I tried my hand on the restoring part of Photoshop for the first time. Came out ok I guess, any ways my friends dad loved it.

So from photo I got it to photo 2. Later my friend’s dad, an old timer who had seen this photo personally said me that it had a grass base, sky background n thejas in 2 or 3 colors behind Ganesha. So did the third photo from the second.

There is one word for what he did: Restoration. He salvaged an old color print and digitized it. Looks pretty decent to me.

What does this mean?

From where did this

commercial:Shockked:
word come from?

I put it here coz there are lot of guys (Karnataka guys, n others who know this Ganesha picture from before) here who might get to see it n not for any Commercial value. I am not a studio guy:Frustrati .

Restoration is done very well. But the last part is too cheesy, looks like a calendar sold on car street (Ratha Beedhi) in Udupi. I am from this area, but I can't recall this Ganesha, but that's hardly surprising, I am not religious at all.:)

J_J,
The restored version is good, But I didnt like the last one with all the colors...

Hi Samurai Ji,

Even i like the second one, as i had mentioned my friends dad is an old timer n like the calender way, so made the third one for him, since he is a foto frame maker n he is from Ratha Beedhi, so no wonder his taste is like that.

N Samurai, every on here were talking about your office in Manipal, can I know where it is? Just curious to know thats all, nothing personal.

Thank You, Mayavi, Samurai, HellwratH n every one.

Hi,

Here are some pictures taken of Putrajaya last year (the new government HQ in KL, Malaysia)

One of the main Bridges (night shot)

close up of the bridge (taken with optical zoom)

One of the buildings at night

Lucky shot
(taken with one hand while driving. Camera held in the right hand, left hand on steering while taking a left turn and not looking through the view finder. :p)

@j_j - thats a wonderful restoration job you have done. Total pro job !!

Guys, take a look at this :

Shot with NIKON D80 at 2007-08-03
This one is taken with 10yr old Nikkor 100mm lens coupled with Nikon D80.

Another one - this is taken with SE K790i.

j_j,

Liked your work. I hope you don't mind if i put in my opinion. I feel it would look better if the sky was not as bright as it is now.

Very nice pic, pretty sharp also. What is the ISO?

hkanitkar,
The first one was very nice... hand held?

Thanks, but why should iso matter? Since it is a day shot, I guess it was at the usual 100.
