@samurai - the 'branches' pic is really nice. Would make a good blow-up.

HK, the tip of petals are tack sharp. I guessed you would have used a tripod, assuming no PS here. Infact even with a tripod i manage to shake the camera some times. These close ups are pesky... even having a timer is not giving perfect image 100% of times. I am now mad for not ordering the remote release along with the camera.

Hey hkanitkar, both the pics are cool even the butterfly one is very nice, how abt some PS work on the dried bud in the first snap, might look even better IMO.

True i agree with you even i felt the same but it was my first restoration work n the demands were like that coz he wanted to take many prints, frame n sell them.

How about this one, did this after that, this was more painfull with lots of color mixing area and lots green grass n tree.

May be you should give another look at it, i know it is not perfect, but the building is colored, thats the color of the building light greyish, see both of them to find the difference. The kids are colored all the four, the real ones and the statue infront of the building.

N the entire idea is too give a natural faded look n not to make it bright like a recent snap.

If you have Canon EOS 350D and above series cameras, they have mirror lock up in custom function menu. Enable the function and put the camera in timer mode, first click locks the mirror and and after three seconds shutter opens.

@gkrishn - no photoshopping at all.. although thought it might be needed when i checked the image on camera LCD.

Oh and btw, that 100mm lens is a manual focus ( had bought it with FE2 ) - even i was surprised to see such sharp focus i could get even with my myopic eyes :p

@condor - lovely pic of that flower with the bee. K750i was the reason i fell in love with SE phone cameras..

@ j_j : great restoration work done in second pic. I know nothing about restoration, so don't how hard is it.

Can anyone guide me to a website or ebook which can get me started on restoring pics.

@hkanitkar : I liked the butterfly pic more than the flower one thought both are very good.

It's not hard to restore a photo, only time consuming. You might find it a bit hard when you start, but once you know to use Potoshop properly then it gets less harder.

Here i have uploaded a book on restoration, Photoshop Restoration-Retouching 3rd edition for Team-BHP, please go through the book, it got almost everything step by step.
