The sparrow by Ajay_satpute has incredible detail! The perch could have been better, but then you cant make the sparrow sit on were you want! |

Great detail and amazingly sharp. If only you had included the whole of the tail this snap would've been extraordinary. |
Thank you everyone for the compliments/suggestions. As rightly said by @
sandsun7, the sparrow's tail's fag end was behind the grill of the terrace, hence I could not get the full tail in the pic. Next time, I will remember @
gd1418's suggestion and wait patiently till I see the full bird.
Tonight, I am going to try and shoot Moon's conjunction with 3 planets using a tripod. Will update the thread tomorrow.
Cheers!

Nice details in that image Ajay. Where was this captured?
Your earlier image of Sparrow also has great details given that it was heavily cropped.

Nice shot, avingodb. Assuming the bee is the protagonist in the image, You could have tried to get it more sharper in focus than the flower. Just my 2 cents:)

Thanks guys. This was captured outside a famous temple near Pune. There is a pond which has about 5-6 tortoises.
@clevermax: If you are asking about my distance from the subject, then it was around 10 feet and inside a pond. Thanks to harsh sunlight, the image has good details IMO.
Another Moon shot at extreme telephoto(810 mm). This time I mounted the camera on a tripod and the result is much much better than the previous moon shot.
The settings were:
F number: F/8
ISO: 500
Exposure time: 1/400 sec
Metering mode: Centrally weighted
