no this is just a Myth.the 7300GT can easily play games at 1024*768.where these cards struggle is pixel shader heavy games like NFS carbon and when AA is turned to 4X or higher.

Most recent games can be played at 1042*768 with AA at 2X,pixel shader at medium and detail set at medium-high.Above 1024*768 they will struggle.remember the 7300GT is different animal compared to the 7300GS or LE,GT it has 128bit memory interface compared to 64 bit for GS,LE.Only difference between 7600 and 7300GT is that the 7300GT has 8 pixel processors and 7600 has 12.7600GS and GT differ only in clock speed.U can easily overclock to make u the difference.

see this review:Galaxy 7300 GT 256MB DDR3

@LBM - how much should 8800GTS 320MB cost ?? my budget is abt 15k max.. [:P]

Edit : just read LBM's reply
.. Darn.. 18k and up would be a little hard on me cos 15k is already stretched budget.. Any other card that fits under 15k ???

It's a Dell Inspiron 1501 (that is why I got it in an affordable price). It's running Windows Vista™ Home Basic. Can't say much about the performance. I am not much of a gamer, guess if it runs Linux parallel to Vista (using VMware) with acceptable performance; I will be happy.

Ya it is cheap abhi, was coming initially to somewhere around $1099, got some discount on it.

No issues with dell as of now.
